Workspace Design and Build for
Egon Zehnder

01 Brief

Egon Zehnder, a global executive leadership consultancy, needed a more efficient way for their consultants to manage daily tasks. With over 1,000 consultants spread across the globe, the existing systems were fragmented and inefficient, which was making it difficult for consultants to maintain productivity and enjoy work.

02 The Problem

Consultants were spending too much time navigating multiple tools to manage their daily responsibilities. This lack of cohesion created workflow bottlenecks and reduced their ability to deliver quality and enjoy their daily work.

Egon Zehnder needed a responsive, user-friendly workspace platform to streamline task management, enhance the overall consultant experience.

03 The Solution

Over 10 months, I collaborated with design, engineering, and product teams to build a solution that addressed the key pain points of consultants. The result was a responsive platform that worked seamlessly across web and mobile.

View Project Overview

Previously, consultants were checking multiple platforms for viewing company details; such as their executive list and report statuses.

Consultants can now view an executive list, track assessments, and check the status of ongoing projects for a single client all in one place.

View Tool Results

Consultants previously relied on PDFs to review executive assessment results, which was cumbersome.

Now, they can access all results in one platform, can navigate between sections and collapse areas to focus on what’s most relevant.

Create a Report

Previously, consultants had to compile reports manually from multiple documents. Now, they can create executive reports in one platform, with visual indicators simplify the review process.

Work Across Devices

The web and platform is fully responsive. Consultants access their workspace across devices, whether on desktop or mobile.

At the time we built the platform, GenAI was emerging. I explored AI-powered search to help consultants find intelligently .

06 Impact

20%

The new platform reduced time spent navigating other platforms, led to a 20% increase in productivity.

15%

Transitioning from paper-based assessments to a fully digital platform reduced operational costs by 15% annually.

07 Reflections

Over the course of 10 months, I had the opportunity to build information architecture plans, reflect pain points, collaborate closely with engineers daily, attend QA sessions, and handoff responsive designs.
