Workspace Design and Build for
Egon Zehnder
01 Brief
Egon Zehnder, a global executive leadership consultancy with over 1,000 consultants worldwide, struggled with fragmented, inefficient work platforms that impacted both productivity and the joy at work. They needed a streamlined solution that enabled consultants to manage daily tasks in one place, from any location and on any device.

02 The Problem
Consultants were spending too much time navigating multiple tools to manage their daily responsibilities. This lack of cohesion created workflow bottlenecks and reduced their ability to perform well and enjoy their daily work.
Egon Zehnder needed a responsive, user-friendly workspace platform to streamline task management and enhance the overall consultant experience.
03 Solution
Over 10 months, I collaborated closely with research, design, engineering, and product teams to develop a solution that addressed the key pain points faced by consultants. We worked alongside a dedicated UX Researcher who provided valuable insights into the consultants' challenges and workflow needs. I crafted the Information Architecture and User Flows, and laid the foundation for the design work. Through continuous testing and layout iterations, we delivered a responsive platform that functioned seamlessly across both web and mobile.
*Details of the user research process; information architecture, user flows, storyboards, wireframes and design iterations can be shared upon request.
View Project Overview
Previously, consultants were checking multiple platforms for viewing information on the company details; such as their executive list and report statuses. Consultants can now view an executive list, track assessments, and check the status of ongoing projects for a single client all in one place.
Create a Report
Previously, consultants had to compile reports manually from multiple documents. Now, they create executive reports in one platform, with visuals simplifying the process.
View Tool Results
Consultants previously relied on PDFs to review executive assessment results, which was cumbersome. Now, they can access all results in one platform, navigate between sections and collapse areas to focus on what’s most relevant.
Responsive Design
Consultants access their workspace across multiple devices and platforms.
At the time we built the platform, GenAI was emerging. I explored AI-powered search to help consultants find what they are looking for in a smarter way.
06 Impact
20%
The new platform reduced time spent navigating other platforms, led to a 20% increase in productivity.
15%
Transitioning from paper-based assessments to a fully digital platform reduced operational costs by 15% annually.
07 Reflections
Over the course of 10 months, I had the opportunity to build information architecture plans, reflect user pain points in design, build responsive core user flows, iterate endlessly, collaborate with product and engineers daily, attend QA sessions, and handoff the designs. It was an exciting journey.

I'm working to improve the mobile experience.
